- Part of model with filament#1 stops,
- extruder reverses the filament so it is splitted, I think somewhere in the hotend/nozzle,
-then the filament#2 goes into to hotend (I can see that when I pause the printer and check the short tube between splitter and hotend),
-the extruder motor tries to force the F#2 but it is only scrathed/rubbed off by drive gear.
- than the nozzle doesn’t print anything.
To start printing again with one filament I have to warm the nozzle and force some lenght of filament manually down the hotend/nozzle.
To get the splitter to work better I widened each end of 1cm PTFE tubes with screwdriver creating a sort of funnel on each end. It helps the filament to go through the splitter not getting jammed in it.
Well it didn’t help. I installed the new cura 2.0.1. Sliced the model once again. I tried to disassemble and assemble the splitter but still I dont’t know why but it looks as if the other filament couldn’t push through the nozzle. While printing I paused to check where is the problem and the lines of filament could easily move through the splitter but couldn’t push the rest of the other color down through the nozzle. Still, printing from one roll works ok.
I have a problem. Dual printing doesn’t really work. First color starts(blue) then the printer reverses some of the filament and starts rolling the other one(red) and printing the tower. But the length reversed is too short I think and the other filament can not start extruding. I think it gets stacked somewhere in the printing head. I disassembled and once again assembled the printing head, nozzle as well as splitter. Single color prints are ok from either roll. What should I check? Where is the problem?
Allright, solved.
-I reflashed once again Marlin2.0.5.3,
-got ERR EEPROM version,
-Send the machine a M502 then M500 to write the current setting in firmware to the eeprom
-turned off and on, waited, than it worked ok (all triggers open, then checked triggered)
Hi,
I have a problem with this step. After sending M119 command I get “TRIGGERED“ status on all endstops. What might be the problem? What should I check? I tried newest Marlin 2.0.6, There was some ERR with the EEPROM. Steering in XYZ axis works.
